How solar hot water sytems work

Solar collectors hold water that gets heated by the sun. This water is pumped in a circuit to a heat exchanger that transfers its heat to the contents of the storage cylinder. The storage cylinder's heated water can then be used at various points of access: baths, sinks etc., (see diagram) If the contents of the storage cylinder cools to below a set amount a demand from the solar panel is requested to bring the heat back to a desired temperature. If the solar panel is not producing enough hot water to heat the contents of the cylinder the cylinder requests that a boiler produce heat for a second heat exchanger in the cylinder. We can further improve your heating system efficiency, reduce noise and ensure your heating system runs smoothly by power flushing the network of pipes and heating components. To improve the process we use a magnetic filtration unit integrally located in the power flushing machine. This magnet collects debris that is taken out of the flushing process. What is power flushing ?
Power flushing forces water through a heating system which loosens debris from the network of pipes and components. Adding a protective cleanser to the process can improve the longevity of the your system and control any further deterioration. What is a condensing boiler ?
Condensing boilers are more efficient than non condensing boilers because they reuse heat that would otherwise escape through the flue. As this reused heat cools the temperature drops to a level where liquid water is formed. This cooled water is called a condensate. Condensing boilers have large or two heat exchangers to take full advantage of this reused heat. "A" rated condensing boilers reduce substantially on fuel use and carbon emissions. It is now possible to control your condensing boiler and heating system through a smart phone or web interface. Underfloor Heating
What is underfloor heating ?
Underfloor heating works by using a series of flexible pipes that sit neatly under the floor and transmit heat by conduction and radiant heat rather than convection. This warms the room more uniformly and from the bottom up rather than by convection currents produced by a radiator.
Benefits of underfloor heating
Radiators transmit heat through convection currents that creates a swirl of dust within a room. Underfloor heating produces heat through radiation cutting out dust so that the air you breath is cleaner.

What is an unvented cylinder ?
Unvented cylinders provide hot water at mains pressure. This means fast filling baths and powerful showers. Twin coil versions are designed to integrate into solar hot water systems. The bottom coil is connected to the solar hot water. The top coil connected to the condensing boiler is used only when necessary.
